Went in to return both products today after a delightful chat with a rude customer service rep at AT&T customer service and was told that there is a $45 restocking fee for EACH device. I was then informed, after the transaction was almost over that the manager, who was no peach in her own right, could have waived the activation fees through my employer if I had only come in to speak to her first. I asked for a number for their corporate office, and was refused. She had an equally useless manager call the store and apologize and admitted fault, but refused to refund the restock fees. He offered to credit them, but since I had already cancelled service, there was nothing that could be done.
The best part was when corporate security came through the speakers to inform all building inhabitants that the store was being monitored by audio and video, which tells me that I had security called on me for no reason.
Do not do business with this company. An absolute group of con artists that withhold important details until you are ready to pay, if at all.

This is not a corporate store. Deal with a corporate store directly if you are bent on dealing with AT&T. There is a reason they have to give away "free" things in order to procure subscribers here.
I was told that with a new iPhone I would be receiving a "free" iPad mini. Well, after taxes and an unheard of $45 activation fee, I hardly find that to be classified as free. This also required me to buy a $45 screen protector in order for them to include the "free" iPad mini. I didn't find out about this until my credit card was out of my pocket ready to pay.
