Love this restaurant along with other Cracker Barrels. But this restaurant is the best of all. Love the home cooking. Been here multiple times. The food is always amazing, the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I have been to Cracker Barrel for more years than I can tell. It has always been a restaurant of choice, as well as a gift shop. However, we chose to go to a location outside of Memphis yesterday. The treatment we endured from a "Rising Star" waitress was uncalled for - she raised her voice & seemed angered at us a number of times. I think we were so in shock, we sat there & took the abuse. Looking back, we should have asked the manager to replace our waitress. After taking our order (in a frustrated manner), "I'M READY!!!" while she was flipping pages, it took something over an hour to receive our food. Thankfully, we had been invited by church friends & were able to visit as the time passed. Our conclusion was that we were given a waitress that has chosen the wrong vocation for her patience level & the demeanor she exhibited toward four adults that possessed a happy, friendly disposition. At one time, she spoke very angrily at the gentleman that had offered to take us to lunch. Her words were, "Sir, if you will give me time I swear to God I will get you your salad." My husband is a minister & we do not swear to our heavenly Father, nor do we want to hear anyone else use such language. When our drinks were delivered & we had not yet received any silverware & had been told by our waitress that someone else would bring it, I simply went to the front podium & ran into a manager & asked if we might get some silverware, he very politely said, "Absolutely, how many do you need?" He went to the kitchen area & kindly handed me the four sets we needed in order to stir our sweetener in our coffee & tea. I could go on & on, but will end by saying, we hope our waitress will be able to find work where she is a good fit and can be happy & will excel in the workplace.
45 minutes waiting on food, manager brought out our order and apologize for them dropping our order. Gave two free dinners for later. Someone needs to ensure the orders don't get dropped. Food was good as always at Cracker Barrel. This was a service issue and the manager assured us it won't happen again. We'll update our next visit.
Cracker Barrel has been around for years; therefore, they know their going to have a crowd on Sundays. Why not bring in extra employees Instead of making us wait almost an hour for food? My waitress Danielle was very pleasant considering she had to wait on multiple tables. She frequently stop to make sure I had everything I needed. The food was great as always but the wait time is sad. Management needs to step up.
I love this place. I have already been there 3 times this week. I love the atmosphere, reminders of the products that I grew up with, the variety of food choices..... I could go on and on..... It's a very comfortable, warm and inviting place.
